And with careful footsteps, Excel began to follow after him, extending her hands in front of her. "EXCEL EXCEL WILL TRY HER VERY BEST FOR PRINCE TYPE. PRINCE TYPE WILL SKATE WITH EXCEL THEN?"
"PRINCE TYPE WANTS TO PLAY..." Excel began with a shy smile, "...WITH EXCEL?" She sped up a little, still holding her hands out in front of her, as though she was reaching for him.
Excel most likely always read that incorrectly when he said he wanted to play. Or maybe she did read it properly, but still saw it as a term of endearment. Il Palazzo killed her because he loved her, right? Belphegor threatened her because he... was fond of her? To some degree? Even if she was entertaining... She didn't give this sort of thing much thought. That wasn't her style.
"EXCEL EXCEL IS GOING TO TRY HER VERY, VERY BEST FOR PRINCE TYPE THEN!" she replied as she forced herself forward again.
Excel decided that his grin was likely the encouragement that replaced words like, 'You can do it!' and other things of that nature. As a result, she took a more aggressive stance toward the ice.
"PRINCE TYPE, WAIT FOR MEEEEEEEEE. EXCEL IS COMING TOO!"
Bel loved to carve up the ice with his skates. It was like cutting people. Oh it was so enjoyable! He turned to skate backwards, grinning from ear to ear. Oh it was also amusing to watch Excel attempting to skate.
He was surprisingly good at skating, she thought. Well, it was a passing thought, really. She actually didn't do much thinking at all. Her expression mirrored his and she straightened her posture. She was tempted to spin around once, but had a feeling she'd crash right back into the ice.
"PRINCE TYPE, PRINCE TYPE! EXCEL EXCEL IS TRYING HER HARDEST! EXCEL LOOKS GOOD?"
"IT WOULD BE MORE HELPFUL IF PRINCE TYPE WOULD ANSWER EXCEL'S QUESTIONS!" she suddenly exclaimed, forcing herself to speed up, so she could get at him.
"EXCEL EXCEL LIKES PLAYING WITH PRINCE TYPE TOO! EXCEL EXCEL THINKS PRINCE TYPE HAS THAT HUNKY HUNKY GRIN!"
Except it wasn't really that hunky at all. It was just the word Excel could think of as she continued following after him. It'd be more amusing if he tripped over something, but that would never happen. Unfortunately.
