"Ou-ran?" he had never heard of it before but that didn't really mean much, Haruhi could easily be from a Japan that was in a different universe. "I just go to a normal middle-school... err," his ears drooped and he pouted, "Or I used to attend..." but he forced them up and smiled back at Haruhi.

"I used to live with my mother before coming here," and Seimei... but... well he supposed it was a good thing he didn't live with mother anymore.

The brunette smiles a little more as she notices his bit of confusion, "Ah, that's right. I keep forgetting that other people are from other worlds."

She laughs a little to herself, grinning over to Ritsuka. "Ouran is a very prestigious academy. Only the ultra-rich can go there usually. But I go on a scholarship because of my grades."

She hmms thoughtfully, doing the ever classic Haruhi thinking pose with her eyes looking skyward a moment, "I guess that's kind of like being here, meeting other's from other worlds. It definitely felt like another world there, anyhow."

"Ah! Fujioka-san must be really smart too!" he smiled. "So why did you go to Ouran? Was it something that would help you achieve a goal?" he asked as he continued to take her towards the mall. "It felt like another world?" he tilted his head in thought.

Perhaps because it was so prestigious? He supposed it would be enough to understand. Gora had been like that, not prestigious but certainly a world in and of itself with the fighters and sacrifices.

Haruhi nods, "Well, going to Ouran will look nice when I go to enroll in college. That will help me get into higher-ranking colleges." She had it all planned out, actually.

Haruhi turns her face forward, "Everyone was so rich there, common things were likes treats to them." With that, she gives a small roll of her eyes, "Even instant coffee."

"I haven't considered high school yet," only because he wasn't sure his current self would have even made it to high school. "I only just got into middle school." Although... he supposed now he would be a freshman in high school what with it being two years on the ship. His ears drooped.

He blinked though as he looked back at Haruhi and stuck out his tongue in distaste. "Yuck, I don't like coffee." He supposed he had a cat's tongue. "But so then something as simple as a super market would surprise them?" he asked.

Haruhi turned her gaze back over. "Oh?" Then she pauses a moment at the drooping ears, considering exactly what to say. "I wouldn't worry about it. I probably planned too much about high school, to be honest." She scratches the side of her head, "Maybe I should have enjoyed middle school more instead."

She couldn't help but laugh at the face Ritsuka made. "I took some of my classmates shopping once. That was definitely an experience."

He blushed as she laughed at his look but smiled anyways as he stopped in front of the art store that he worked at. "All the stores and what have you are named after things in mythology!"

"We have a grocery store here as well Fujioka-san, I do most of the shopping for me and my roommate. There isn't much in the way of sales but at there's a steady income every week. Ah! What do you have any favorite hobbies or anything like that Fujioka-san?"

Haruhi had begun to notice this trend. She guessed it made sense though - wasn't the ship named Elysium?

The mention of a store made her ah, "I guess that's good though, I won't have to scout the sales for a while." Then she adds, "Oh, I mostly read in my spare time. I never really developed a lot of hobbies." She thought the time could be put to better use mostly.

But it could be a good thing to develop some now that she had more of an opportunity. After all, experiences of all kinds.

"Oh! What do you like to read Fujioka-san?" he asked, excited, he adored the written word. He had also taken up learning to cook as a semi-hobby, though he could make all of three things.
